The importance of cultivating connection

In our modern days there are so many means of communication, and yet it seems that there are considerable difficulties in aligning ideas among nations,  people in general or in the families. Despite possessing so many tools for communication (smartphones, tablets, social media, e-mails) we still live far away from each other. The significant gap in our civilisations is that we are no longer able to listen to each other sincerely. If we fail to communicate, our energy genuinely is blocked internally, and this will make us sick. Our disease causes pains, and these pains are poured into the people who surround us.  If we want to be connected with others, we don't need to send them more posts on social media or similar, but we need to listen to them more. Listening with depth creates understanding. Understanding involves more connection among humans. To listen deeply we must learn to calm our inner noises, our thoughts. Sometimes a spiritual friend may be of great help in our ...

The power of deep listening

Since we are born, we learn from our parents and at school that we have to remember a lot of words, concepts and notions. We are so induced to think that this mental knowledge is fundamentally very useful for our lives. In reality, when we try to have a genuine conversation with another person, we struggle to listen to them. Our mind is so jam-packed with thoughts that we no longer have the time and space to consider others' opinions. Our brains are overloaded with cognitive processes. At work, we have to think for at least 8-9 hours a day to accomplish our tasks. We enter into what very often becomes a commonplace where we believe that to be successful in life we can not do otherwise. Our internal silence is the only way to help us with deep listening. Deep listening allows us to process better answers. This is one of the keys to honest communication. It is impossible to make a proper speech without having observed it before within us. The right statement when done correctly hel...

Internal silence: the promoter of positive thinking

An incorrect way of thinking does not solve any problems. The correct thinking needs a lot of concentration. If we have a problem to solve and we do not apply an accurate way of thinking to the challenge this means that the solution will take much longer to formulate. The question must be asked to our conscience or to the warehouse of our conscience. Our thinking is not enough to give a solution to our problems. Our consciousness is the real engine that will provide the answers to our questions. While we sleep, our conscience is still working. Then suddenly after a few days, the solution to our issues comes. This happens because we have entrusted our questions to the warehouse of our conscience and not merely to our way of thinking. Therefore, we should each of us train to the path of meditation and rely on our conscience. When the solution to our problems arrives, then we have the knowledge that we have reached a moment of enlightenment.  When we let go of our thoughts, idea...

Listen to the silence

Most people are always searching for happiness as if it was something very distant from us. We ignore the beauty of the world that surrounds us because we are no longer able to observe it. Our minds are engaged in chasing something that sometimes is not a real goal but only the illusion of it: train to go to work, conferences, meet clients, pursue a career. The inability to observe the beauty that surrounds us is strengthened by the fact that our minds are full of thoughts, noises. A mind full of sounds will never appreciate the charms of life. Very often we are in a temporal trap forgetting to live in the present. We remember the sufferings of the past by feeding further pain and sinking into anxieties caused by the uncertainties of the future by trapping us further into a real mental prison. This mental prison creates a feeling of emptiness. Then we begin to wait for something better to arrive in our life that is perhaps better than the situation in which we think we are. In other ...
